IITF 2024 Expensive Painting: Have you seen any such painting which was filled with colors with flowers and leaves, which was made on five feet long paper and which took 6 months to make by hand? Vijay Kumar Jha from Madhubani Mithila, Bihar has brought this special painting to the Indian International Trade Fair going on in Pragati Maidan, Delhi.
Painting completed in 6 months
This painting has been made by Shanti Devi who is 70 years old. Along with the President’s Merit Award, he has also received the Ahilya Devi Award. He has prepared this painting after 6 months of hard work. To know what is the specialty of this painting, when Local18 talked to Vijay Kumar Jha, he told that this painting is famous all over the world by the name of Mithila folk painting. Shanti Devi has also received an award for her skill in Italy.
Painting of 10 incarnations of Lord Vishnu
Vijay Kumar Jha told that this painting has been made on paper. It has been coated with cow dung. This painting is based on the 10 incarnations of Lord Vishnu. In this, 10 incarnations of Lord Vishnu have been created. Painting has always been a center of attraction for people religiously and people are coming to see it in this trade fair also. He told that Mithila folk painting was famous even during the Ramayana period and it was being made even before the time of Ramayana. Nowadays people have started calling it Madhubani painting, but it is not Madhubani painting but it is Mithila folk painting. He has paintings worth Rs 1000 to Rs 5 lakh.
All work is done by hands
He told that in Mithila folk painting the entire work is done by hands. These hand-made paintings are not prepared with any kind of machine. Despite this, the beauty of these paintings is a million times more than the paintings made by machines, that is why these paintings are liked a lot by people all over the world. This painting is sent from Mithila to every corner of the country.
